Arrowhead Communities Fire Safe Council (ACFSC) represents the greater Lake Arrowhead region.

Nestled in a portion of the San Bernardino National Forest, ACFSC represents the communities of Agua Fria, Blue Jay, Cedar Glen, Crest Park, Deer Lodge Park, Rim Forest, Skyforest, Twin Peaks, and Lake Arrowhead to make up the region referred to as "Greater Lake Arrowhead." US Forest Service data shows that this area contains the largest number of residents and homes in any region of the entire US National Forest system with an infrastructure and property value of approximately $8 billion.

The San Bernardino National Forest attracts more visitors annually than any other forest in the nation. Faced with unparalleled fire safety challenges for an Wildland Urban Intermix, ACFSC maintains a continued effort to establish collaboration and coordination among all fire agencies and the public.

Our primary goal is the establishment of a fire safe community while preserving a healthy natural forest setting.

We partner with Local, State and Federal agencies to coordinate hazard mitigation projects and conduct educational programs to acquaint our residents with ways to reduce fire danger and become involved in community safety.

As a result of major fuel reduction efforts conducted in cooperation with Local, State, and Federal agencies, great progress has been made in making our community less susceptible to uncontrolled wildland fires.

The community has responded in very positive ways to new approaches for living in the WUI. In addition to support from the Chamber of Commerce, Realtors, businesses and public agencies, many residents are motivated to communicate healthy forest management techniques, proper tree planting methods, and better fire safety practices around homes.

Residents are responding in a positive manner, hiring crews, cranes, landscaping personnel, and they are achieving defensible space zones around their homes. We are proud of our community and the businesses that back our efforts as a 501 (c) (3) non profit public benefit corporation.
